Our Story

The United Church of Bellows Falls is historically the combination of the three mainline churches of Bellows Falls, each of which was formed in the 1800’s: the Methodists, the Congregationalists, and the Universalists.

In 1977 they became one church affiliated with one denomination–the United Church of Christ. We embrace the UCC’s “God is Still Speaking” campaign which states “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here.

Why Give?

We are a community church and believe in supporting our community in as many ways as possible. This takes money. Our church building is a community center in some sense as it’s Fellowship Hall is used by: WIC, The Red Cross, Girl Scouts, the Bellows Falls Women’s Club, groups from Parks Place Resource Center, the Library, Brattleboro Hospice, and Headstart for meetings and gatherings. The more resources we have, the more we can do–It is that simple!

Make a Difference

We also support worldwide concerns through the  United Church of Christ/Disciples of Christ Global Ministries.  Through this link you will find stories of other donors, opportunities to give, descriptions of where we work throughout the world, as well as news of current crisis ministries.
